Islington Town Hall is located right in the heart of Islington. This elegant listed building with its impressive facade and sweeping marble staircase provides a stunning venue for your wedding ceremony. There are several ceremony rooms but my personal favourite is the circular council chambers with its beautiful stained glass windows and domed ceiling.

Documentary Wedding Photography - But what about the group shots?

I would describe myself as a Documentary Wedding Photographer. This means that I document the events of your wedding day as they happen - I observe rather than participate. I don't move things around, ask you to pose in a particular way, or repeat something just for the camera.

The exception to this are the group shots and the formal couple portraits (more on those later). Most couples, even if they are having a very relaxed and informal wedding, want some group portraits, and of course, I'm more than happy to oblige. As part of the pre-wedding consultation, we will have a chat about how many group portraits you would like, who should be in them, and how we best go about making sure that they don't take up too much time so that everyone can get back to enjoying the day.

Glenmore House, Surbiton

Glenmore House is a beautiful Georgian building in Surbiton, which makes for a great venue for your wedding ceremony and/or reception. There is a beautiful ballroom with sparkling chandeliers and high ceilings as well as a modern bar. There are landscaped gardens right opposite the venue - a perfect backdrop for your wedding photographs.

My Favourite Wedding Photograph of 2011

As 2011 has come to an end, I thought I would share my favourite wedding photograph of the year. This was taken during the bridal preparations (one of my favourite bits of photographing a wedding). Emily was a stunning bride who looked fabulous in curlers - like a 1930s movie star. I love the expression on her face and the general mood of the photograph.

On 22nd September 2011, I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy - Cosmo Leo Eddy. The past few months have been magical but as you can imagine the wedding photography has had to take a bit of a backseat. I am, however, looking forward to picking up my camera in time for the spring wedding season and photographing some of your gorgeous weddings.

A Village Fete Wedding, North Hamptonshire - Emily + Dom

As soon as I met Emily and Dom, I knew that their wedding was going to be an absolute pleasure to photograph . They are such a gorgeous couple and their beautiful twin girls, Evie and Molly, are simply the cutest.

Emily and Dom got married in their local village church - very romantic - and the reception was held in a marquee just over the road. The decorations were beautiful with a rustic, vintage feel. The atmosphere on the day was amazing and Emily and Dom's families were so friendly and welcoming and made me feel very much part of the family.

Emily and Dom, thank you again for letting me share your special day with you. I wish you and your little girls all the best for the future.

South Farm Wedding - Sarah + Tom
